Default made a stealthy cheeky cheap LED grow 40cm x 140cm

I want it to look like a little wardrobe with some crap on top so gong for stealth. But I do not share my little house with anyone. The sound is bearable but want to dim it more. Have the extractor push into a padded box that looks like a storage container, but is hollow with foam on the sides..
I sort of have a bad thrown together version of that atm.
Anyway I hope to get a nice little crop off this cheap ass little one.
I never realised they made carbon filters this small! perfect! takes up hardly any space!
have 100w LED flood cri 80
And a little par led 50w which I think might be a fake blue red LED thing!
Will upgrade to proper PAR Led

Nice bit of DIY. What's the rock in the pot for?

    Cheers

actually it was to separate the two plants a bit as they ended up in the pot in a no ideal arrangement!

sorry my pics are not orientated right

About the seed I used it was from some rastaman weed I get, so probably not even worth flowering, I think I will flower it for a little and see how it looks but wanna get some Lemon Haze seeds as that is my fave weed and easy to grow. And will be proper seeds from a shop so good genetic. But will take me a few weeks at least to see that and make it a decent size

if going for photoperiod seeds, make sure you get all the light leaks sorted. also, cover any lights on equipment. like the one on your sockets.

I recommend some airpots. 8-10lt ones should do you well.

    yeah you reckon?

I went for two very cheap lights for sure. But I did do a little micro experimental grow with some cheap diy led flood lights and it came out pretty good, the bud was dense enough... It was a very small grow so this is improving on that concept.

I went for a warm daylight LED and PAR LED to try and blend the two light spectrums. I hoped to get the "full spectrum" PAR value led and fill in the gaps a bit with the daylight. It seems this would give a good coverage and better than a single one of either as I would be adding the UV and IR from the PAR light while also filling in the missing green and other areas of the spectrum with the daylight LED.

I am looking at some of the lower cost COB lights to replace these two eventually. I was just interested to see what would happen using these lights that came to £20 hha.. As I see no reason why they shouldn't work. Except that the PAR one might not be PAR values. There are some that are in cool little enclosures which would be easily modified to add a higher grade COB (Cree).

I see that you can by the LED modules and COB's pretty cheap these days so there is no reason why you cannot buy a chip slap a heat sink on the back and solder in some AC, bam you have a LED light! This is all these cheaper LED flood lamps are. I tried to stick to at least 80CRI, which is much higher than lights used to grow weed for decades with decent results (fluorescent, HP..etc)

I would be interested to know what your experiences with cheaper LED are...
    :-)

    Hey thanks about the pointers..
I do not think there is any significant light leak. And also pure red led from the power supply (good call tho as I didn't even think of that socket's led). I do not think the pure red will interfere with the light cycle?

As for the pot, I was going to go for one large plant as its such a slim tall space I can veg it a bunch and make use of the space filling it with as much bud as possible.. I was pondering to have one huge 35l fabric pot and either having one large plant or 3-4 smaller ones in one large pot, so they get more soil to grow in, or to grow one huge plant... Or yeah I could have 3-4 10l pots with smaller plants.
I was worried about that as they will start to absorb each others air circulation, light coverage..etc. and I want as much yield as possible so to me, to make maximum use of the space without plants taking aawy from eachothers resources it seems best for one large plant. Do you think the plants can even get that tall/big with 10l pots? I feel like they might not get tall enough, I want them to be like 70cm 80cm ish, well that is the sort of space they have minus the light, crabon filter, pots..etc.
