    Default Windows 10 activation...

    I 'acquired' a new(ish) pc, no hard drive & only a windows 7 licence...

    No biggie...

I installed Windows 10 (same version (pro) as the win7 licence)

Went to activate it & used the win7 key... job done, digital licence issued

I thought they had stopped doing it (but worth a punt) -apparently not

I put windows 10 on last year on one our boxes and used a key from a computer nerd website. Work like a charm.

They were, at one point, literally giving Win10 away - and then the pay walls started dropping again... that's why I was chuffed

got sick of windows about 10 years ago and after trying linux i stopped using it.

been on mac for last 4years and gota say that it is way better than windows when it comes to anything other than gaming. so much cleaner too.

when i next get a pc it will be strictly for gaming.

I went from Win 7 to Xubuntu last year. A minor hassle getting Netflix to work, just needs a box checking.

The only problem I ever have with windows 10 is MCAFEE. Every once in A while, it locks me out of my computer, and it takes me hours to find the firewall so as I can turn it off. I would love to get rid of it, but it is A pop up, and I just can't get rid of it.
