    Default All purpose nutrient?

I know plants need different nutes for vegging and flowering but is there maybe a all-purpose nutrient that would work for all stages???

Just a good all around nutrients that isnt too expensive. The simpler its is the better for me.

If not could you suggest 2 or 3 part value based nutrients in large enough amount for 15 plants?

Fox Farms didnt cut it last year and barely had enough bloom to finish flowering for 6 plants (they were long flowering strains)

    Thanks

10 plant limit here, as agreed to when you signed up.

That said, look at Greenleaf Nutrients Megacrop 1 part. Or Gaia Green 4-4-4

Tomato nutrients tend to align pretty well with cannabis' needs if you cant find anything else

NO SELL, NO SMELL, NO TELL!!!

Fox Farms is cheap stuff sold at the local grow store so thats why it was bought. I dont know where its made. Im sure my lights are from China and my tent and my planters and about everything I buy at the grower supply store with the exception of my soil. Im on a budget every grow. Planned out to the penny almost. Just looking for better options as far as nutrients. I have a popular new in-the-box LED from a well-known manufacturer that I kept too long to send back. My plans for it completely changed and now Im stuck with it. But I cant find anywhere to sell it. The cash from that would help my budget alot but I dont know of a single forum anywhere that has a traders section. The offers on facebook marketplace were garage sale prices.

I use the westland range, basic cheap good quality dry plant food
Chicken manure, with a long flower would use 30ltr pot, 150g per pot, 20% perlite mixed in a basic fruit and veg compost.
This gives your plants a good amount of food for 3 months.
You can add a few extra things to make sure you get the best results (very cheap dry nutes that last for years)
garden lime (has magnesium, calcium and keeps the soil ph level in the best range)

Seaweed meal, it has everything the plants need, but it's quick release food and it's cool.
So if you have a fresh rooted clone or seedling add 1 tsp(sea weed in 5ltrs of seedling and cutting compost and 20% perlite, you have the best early soil.
Under fill your pots 3" and top dress the pots with fresh compost and seaweed 4 weeks in flower 1tbsp, will give your plants a boast.

Fish blood and bones great for strong growth and the canopy.
Bonemeal slow release food, for building strong roots

My last soil mix is giving me amazing results
    18ltr pots 20% perlite
    1cup of chicken manure
    1tbsp lime
    1tbsp seaweed meal
    1tbsp fish blood and bone
    1tbsp bonemeal
you can buy a years worth of food for about £30

Whatever you spend on grow kit, consider it gone. There are reasons why used grow gear is dirt cheap which I'm too stoned to go into. Buy cheap buy twice is extra true with this hobby. Go for kit that is future proof. eg. an extractor fan for a small setup that can become an intake fan for a larger grow or used in a vegging area.

There is an all purpose nutrient, the lucas formula. Only 2 bottles to buy, GH Micro and GH Bloom. 2ml Micro + 4ml Bloom per litre of water. Absolutely nothing else. It's sometimes written as 0/8/16. That's zero Grow, 8ml Micro + 16ml Bloom in one US gallon of water. (US gallon = 3.785 litres.) The same mix is given to the plants whatever their stage of growth.

It was developed for dwc with RO water. When used with tap water, it has the correct pH for passive hydro. It can, and has, been used with soil. Any strain, any system and the lucas formula works. (For coco, it's 0/6/9. I've only tried it with coco the once, it works well enough to give a decent yield.) It is sometimes used when a grower has multiple strains and doesn't want the hassle of mixing up individual feeds.

Is it the highest yielding nute regime? No. I've yet to see the lucas formula win against a dialled in nute regime. It doesn't lose by much though. About 10% and that's against a nute regime that has been tailored to that strain.

Bought in 1 litre bottles, it works out to just under 7 pence per litre of feed. For better economy, 5L and 10L bottles are available. There is a hard water version of Micro.

Here's a visual of how to use it.

lucas formula sounds really good, 5 years ago, I used bottle food, a few different ones sold in the local grow shop (just used the grow and bloom).
Really started to look into plant food, NPK, magnesium, calcium, and trace nutes, covering everything the plant needs at different stages in veg and flower.
So I wanted a good soil mix, I would only need to water the plants, no messing around, so I can't make any mistakes in mid flower (like so many growers do), constant great results, every time.
at the end of the day it's a weed, and really the same as any other plant you would grow, needs the same amount of water, food, light, and training as many other types of plants.
So you can get the best results from a good soil mix and water till harvest.

I have seen a nutrient free soil grow. As in they didn't add any ferts. They kept potting up until the flip and the final pot had enough in it to last the distance.

I never considered it cheap, I have been using FoxFarm's nutrients for years and I think its a phenomenal line of nutrients that is easy to use and very effective, for a soil grow it is hands down my favorite nutes. If you are running out of bloom or big grow simply buy a larger set of bottles initially they have many different sizes available.
I generally try and buy it off Amazon and snatched it up whenever it is on sale, I recently got the trio in quarts for like $40.

Have you considered composting? It can provide you with almost everything you need to keep your prices down. You can use the soil it produces to grow your plants in, and you can also make a compost tea to use as nutrients. The only cost involved with growing this way is your table scraps.

I was just talking to George yesterday he uses Miricle-gro Organic soil and only gives them a tast of some pk during flower.
