Don't worry Mac, I thought about dimming the leds when I first built the light

managed to lift the leds a few inches and chop back the canopy a good 4".
Sometimes you have to get on with it. Don't like doing this.

The canopy looks so different a few days after giving it a hair cut, still need to thin it out and remove the low shoots.

Today's not a great day, plants are getting too large so I need to lose 3 plants, I don't know anyone growing at the moment, wish I did as I would love to give them away, make some calls later today, these are the best purple punch plants out pack of seeds, very high quality(buds are rock soil and very sticky, don't want them touching your clothes, but the biggest problem is they stink to high heaven in late flower, I only have to walk in the room for 2 minutes not touching the plants and I stink of weed).

my lights are at max height, so I can pot 3 plants up into the 7.5ltr pots and pull the shoots down a few inches, the canopy and root mass will be over double the size over the next 2 weeks, my current plants are in 18ltr pots, I will go for larger pots next time(slightly more sand/perlite per ltr, and increasing the dry plant food per ltr. Should last longer and the roots will more space, (extra perlite and sand will really help)

The plants are looking done in the flower room.
As I kept the 6 plants in the veg room. I pulled a plant out of the pot to see how the root mass looks.

I rebuilt my flower room over the last week, the plants have been cramed in the corner, cold, lights off a day, chucked around and underwater and under feed. Don't look bad considering lol

Roots look very healthy(sorry under hps light) (7.5ltr pots)
Potted up in 18ltr pots(using 45cm plant rings)

I have upgraded my veg light, converted the lux to par, larger footprint, improved light spread and here's the results

The center space is for air flow, going to add a fan or two.

Dropping the light 6" above the canopy does increase the average par level over 400, would make a good flower light for the price

The loop in the wire is to stop the tension on the lamp holder
