Default What is the fastest way of growing?

I know how long is a piece of string.
I have just completed a deep water grow that took a lot longer than anticipated and while the results were great it was a long old wait so I am wanting a quicker approach especially when it comes to trying different strains that are out there.
I would personally be happy with an oz a plant if it were quick, I’ve noticed people go straight from seed or clone on 12/12 but wonder how this fares ?
I’m not a commercial grower just a person who does not want to have to deal with plastic gangsters in order to get a decent clean smoke!

    Fast flowering auto's?
Other than auto's shorter veg times, but then a plant will not begin to flower until it is mature enough to do so.
I've read about the 12/12 from seed but read somewhere that it won't flower for around 4 weeks anyway so you may as well just veg it for those 4 weeks.

I've flowered after 2-3 weeks from sprouting and you get close to an oz a plant.

    sent from space

This was vegged for 2 weeks then flowered for 8. 1 gallon pot.

9 of them in that space might have been a proper grow.

how do you think that would have compared to scrog? it is something i have been thinking about trying but i am still learning to grow so want to get the basics right before i experiment. what was the yield?

Can you increase your growing area? Having more space makes it easier to never run dry and build up a surplus.

If you're stuck with too small a space, you can compensate some with higher plant numbers. (Don't go more than 10.) If they get crowded, lollipop them to get a main cola each if need be. The smaller the pot, the faster autos will finish.

trying not to hijack this thread (sorry silkysmooth) so i will try to be brief, although OP might benefit too as we are looking for the same result.
i am stuck with my small space for now. i guess i will give it a go some time. the way i imagine it to work for me is by keeping a mother plant that i take lots of cuttings from (in a separate room) and pack the main room with lots of cuttings with short veg times, giving the mother about 2 months or so to recover. if it works it should reduce my cycle time by up to 33%, but is useless if my yields also drop by that much compared to scrog.
i feel like it should do better than scrog because we are not splitting the main cola, instead we are adding a new one. it would get expensive if using seeds but would be no trouble using clones.

i guess i will have to try once i get enough surplus to take risks.

If there are 2 grow areas available, they can feed each other with clones. Was a grower that had two small 1 plant scrogs. Grow A, on the last day of veg, he'd take cuts and put them in the cloner. 2 weeks later, Grow B was harvested and a clone from Grow A went in. Last day of veg with Grow B and cuts were taken etc. Was an 8 week strain so veg time was 4 weeks. He got a harvest every 6 weeks.

With a single grow space, an option is to take cuts during early flower. The later that is done, the longer they take to root. That can be timed to have them rooted and ready to go on harvest day.

If you only have one area to flower the plants off, you can take cutting's the same day you flowering the plants off and veg them in a cupboard, under 4x t5's(24w), 1ft x 1ft x 2f(h), keep topping them untill the flower rooms free, I would use 4 x 2ltr pots, pot up and veg for a week in the flower, done this a few time myself, not easy but can be done.
