I don't understand the need to post to defend your last post
which no one disagreed with. Just find it curious.

It's one of the most important things every soil grower should do, in flower, once the root hairs die because of dry patches in the root mass, it can have a big impact on the plant's health.

Yes was just saying they are versatile enough to be adapted to that style of growing if he really wanted to.

I let my plants sit in 1/2" of water(no more), If you buy the right size tray for your pots, it will hold a small amount of water and this will be soaked up or evaporated in an hour or two.
That will happen in any pot you allow to dry out, its not unique to air pots

Add a few drops (one drop per pint) of a biodegradable, concentrated liquid soap like Castille or Ivory to the water. it will act as a wetting agent by helping the water penetrate the soil more efficiently, and it will guard against dry soil pockets. Most soluble fertilizers contain a wetting agent. Apply about one quarter to one half as much water / fertilizer as the plant is expected to need, and then wait 10-15 minutes for it to totally soak in. Apply more water.fertilizer until the soil is evenly moist. If trays are underneath the pots, let excess water remain in the trays a few hours or even overnight before removing it with a large turkey baster.

Another way to thoroughly wet pots is to soak the containers in water. This is easy to do with small pots. Simply fill a 5-gallon bucket with 3 gallons of water. Submerge the smaller pt inside the larger pot, for a minute or longer, until the growing medium is completely saturated. Wetting plants thoroughly insures against dry soil pockets.
Good advice, I use one myself (yukka extract), I also own and have read his book several times. Its a great way to grow if it works for ya

And here I was about to drop 30 bucks on some Yucca wetting agent. Learn something new every day. You're a fine addition to the Talk CHG. Glad to have ya.

Found this on Amazon. Worth getting or would the cheaper stuff be just as good?
