Default Smart Pots vs Air Pots

I've always used fabric pots but I'm seeing more and more of you guys growing fantastic looking plants in Air Pots. Are they pretty much similar in how they work or should I be getting myself an Air Pot for my next grow?

    cheers

I've tried the airpots but as George said, I didn't like the water coming out the holes. I'm using fabric next time, to see if I like them more. We can but try.

I'm using Airpots for the first time at the moment and have had No problems with feed coming out the side holes.
As M_C I'm in coco so not sure if that makes a difference to having water piss out the sides compared to soil but I definitely have No problem watering them. You just got to fill them correctly.

I've done side by side tests with hempy buckets vs airpots vs regular pots.

Using equal amounts of perlite/vermiculite, best was hempy buckets followed by airpots.

Using equal amounts of Fytocell, there was no difference.

I've not tried that test with coco but I'd guess that the better the media, the less important the choice of pot.

I did find use for them once. I had over-watered one of my plants to near-death during its vegging state. I transplanted it into an Air Pot to help the soil dry-out and it worked great. Managed to salvaged about 1.5 ounces out of it.

Other than that I have no experience growing with Air Pots.

I've been using fabric pots with great success but my next photo grow I have 2x20ltr airpots ready to use for the first time.
I read that to prevent water coming out the sides when you feed in airpots wrap the pot with a layer of cling film and remove it when fed, easy enough unless you are scrogging I guess,I will see how mine run soon enough.
