I have better luck soaking mine and then putting them straight in the soil. The paper towel method never really worked well for me.

The paper towel method is a leftover from the days of growing bag seed. When a few hundred seeds had less value than a bucket of dirt from the garden.

I just germinated 3 using the paper towel method. Not saying it's the best way but it's what we used to do in primary school. Granted back then it was Cress we were growing not weed, but still.

Paper towel method sounds like an extra step where a mistake could be made. The tap roots seem to do the same thing just floating in water. What's the reason for it? Don't you want to avoid contact with the tap root until you put it in the medium?

    Cheers
