If your ec is 0.2 I'd start at 0.5, see how they look colour wise, then gradually up it by 0.1 point.. going by colour of the leaves

i am going to be a 1st timer when got fully setup

and ph should be between 5.8 and 6.2

    same
if i am wrong people please advise me as i am still learning
Me asking what ec and pH is a lame joke. Of course I know what ec and pH is. I also know that measuring ec and pH can be avoided with passive hydro.

Tell your friend that you know of someone (me) who does passive hydro and that they never adjust ec or pH. Same mix from day 1 until harvest. Then ask your friend how come that works.

at 1.0 your feed is 1.0. That 0.2 in the water is made up of calcium magnesium and some other elements, they count towards the amount of feed.

So if your tap water is 0.2 and you want your feed to be 0.8 you do it at 0.8

For PH anywhere from 5.6 to 6.3 is acceptable, 5.8 is considered the sweet spot

And as Easy says I would start at 0.5EC and see what the plant tells you, light green = up the feed 0.1EC, dark green = reduce feed 0.1EC. Lush vibrant green = stay at that strength feed. When you make a change to feed strength give it a couple days to see the changes before changing again.

Hydroponic means 'without soil'. Active hydro involves using an airpump and/or a water pump. Passive hydro uses no pumps, the feeding is done manually.
