He sold me 3 because I bought 3 shades and 3 digital ballasts for the first run out, I could easily fit more plants in there but I was led to believe less can sometimes be more?

So would I be best leaving just 1 bulb on 600w over the 8 babies spread out or all 3 lamps on and turn the ballasts down?

    Cheers

    Bobby
The mh not great as a flower light, you want a hps bulb

    Thanks everyone for your advice

Wish I would of found this palce before I shelled out for all my gear.

I guess it will be quite a learning curve this first outing then.

As long as the environment is decent, the learning curve for plant maintenance is optional and can be bypassed.

<20% of effort = >80% of maximum yield. Keep it simple for 2 or 3 grows to get the jars full. Then, if you want higher yields, you can take on the learning curve without danger of running dry.

Definitely better to ask the guys around here. The problem with people that work in grow shops is they're always trying to sell you things, sometimes if you need them or not.

A grow shop ad said that they stocked every media known to man. I asked them for a price on Fytocell and they had never heard of it.

Now I am very confused, when you flower your plants off, they can grow 4-6 times the size.
My veg room was 45cm x 70cm and my flower room was 2m x 80cm, the veg room could have been smaller.
nobody growing 8 cutting, would ever use 2 x 600w MH as a veg room, also the plants in veg need about 1/3 of the light so a 600w MH would cover a 5ft x 5ft veg space

Sorry, it is probably me making no sense.

I am vegging in the same tent that I will then flip them into.

He sold me 3 of these bulbs and then 3 others (different types) to put in for when I am flowering.

Switching bulbs when I switch light cycle.

Sounds like you'll only need to use one of those then? At least you'll have a couple spare for the future.
