    Default Ph/PPM checked my plants

Posted on here a couple weeks back about some discoloration on my leaves (thanks again for your help), and figured I’d check the ph and nutes since this happened all of a sudden and I had just started a heavier feeding schedule. I wrote down some numbers, forgive me if you cant make sense of it. What im gathering from my data is that a few of my plants have possible nutrient lock (ava, aggie, irene)because their ppm is significantly higher than the plants without burn symptoms. Fed some epsom salts last week and I havent noted any significant changes. Please let me know if im on the right track or if im completely wrong. Also, if i would have to flush, should i use distilled water? Well water came out at 6.69ph/279 ppm. Thanks!

Thanks! I probably have to credit the genetics, up until these past couple weeks all ive had to do is light feeding and defoliation.

If I may ask, how are you calculating ppm?

Dont want to sound patronising but I think you may be reading your numbers incorrectly

    (on a .500 ppm scale)
    2000ppm is 4.0EC
3300ppm is 6.6EC!!!!! And these plants don't look like they are sat in that thick of a stew

I believe you may be reading EC or CF instead.

Can you post a pic or give a model name for your meter please.

If that's not the case and these are your actual PPM numbers then stop feeding, they have enough food for three lifetimes

For flushing, your well water at 250pm/0.5EC would be fine.

Sorry it took a bit. And dont worry about sounding patronizing, I am winging this shit and am clearly over my head when it comes to diagnosing what is going on with my plants. I am probably reading the meter wrong. Anyhoo, here is what i am using, theyre not the best by any stretch

Im reading what the side of the meter says. I dont know any formulas to calculate anything beyond that.

You don't need to know any formulas to calculate ppm from EC. Apparently your meter does it for you [ although I don't know what conversion factor (0.5 ppm, 0.64 ppm , or 0 0.7 ppm) is built into that particular unit] . The chart in the above link will explain the relationship of EC to ppm.

Your meter reads both EC and ppm depending on what mode you select. If I were you as a beginner I'd use the EC mode until you understand what it is and the relationship to ppm when feeding your plants. I'm guessing you were reading and noting a number in EC mode rather than ppm.

You might also want to manually calibrate your EC meter. YOUTUBE has a few vids on this.
