    Default Storing as joints?

I just dried and trimmed up my first plant. My intention is pack a bunch of joints at a time to enjoy throughout the year. (I’m an outdoor grower with just the one season). Curious if anyone has thoughts or opinions on when might be a good time to pack them for storage? Now might be too soon, thinking the nugs need more time to cure. But I was also thinking the bud might continue to cure while packed up in joint form? I may wait a month and pack some and then wait another month, pack a few more and continue like that and record any noticeable differences.

I’m planning on using a raw six shooter and cones for packing. Has anyone done this before? Is storing the bud as joints long term a good idea or are there some issues I might run into?

    Thanks!

I would give your plant a month or two to cure before I started tubing up the doobies.
As long as there is no excess moisture in the buds I cant think of any reason not to roll of a month or two's supply of joints, let us know how it works for you and good luck dude.

It's so hard to wait haha. I'm sure a couple months will fly by though and I'll be busy harvesting the few other plants that are still maturing right now. Glad to hear GEORGE, that you've found they get better over time and can be stored for a year or 2? I'm really trying to never go back to the dispo but I guess you have to start somewhere. Might have to make one more trip or two to hold me over until I have some that's ready to smoke.

This isn't intended for storing long term, but I frequently roll up a few to keep in a medicine bottle.

Whenever I roll a whole bunch of Js for storage, I wind up smoking a whole bunch of Js that might have been bong hits... And maybe I'm imagining it, but a freshly ground J seems to retain those more volatile terps. YMMV.

    Time to roll one up.

    Cheers

I always roll my joints fresh but then I've never had enough to consider long term storage. Hopefully that will change soon

At the suggestion of one of my friends, who mainly deals with recreational cannabis, I started using the RAW Six shooter. This item is ideal for use as a cone stand. They recommend pounding this 10 times or so to pack the cones. This results in very loose rolls towards the filter. I've tried filling 30% of the way, packing it, then filling the rest and repacking. Especially if you smoke more than once a day, it's well worth the money. It's useful for preparing for outings, parties, and other events. I'd pay for it again if I ever needed a new one. It should never break because it is made of solid plastic. The only thing I wish it would come with is a small brush, but that is unnecessary. I'm a slob who enjoys the convenience.

Cali pre roll joints taste like crap by the time they arrive here.
