    If you don't want to diy, then get a contactor with 2 sets of power strips. Overkill as it's built for switching hid but it will only need plugging in. Power strip A will run the 6" fan and when the timer dictates, power strip B becomes live instead and powers the 5" fan.

    When you've seen the price, you may prefer to diy.

    With using 2 fans, it's different wiring to my previous post. Contact A > 6" fan. Contact B > mains. Contact C > 5" fan. Timer > relay coil. You'll need 2 x power strips. 1 relay and a project box plus wiring. Not much more involved than wiring up an rvk fan.
