1 gram a watt?

1 gram a watt i don't get it ? on how many plants and veg time etc?
Can anyone explain?

Its the holey grail, u could do it with 1 plant vegged for a long time or many little plants done in sog, its what all growers should aim for imo

agreed, the quest for a gram per watt eludes most of us mere mortals, but i'm happy with 168grams from my 250w HPS.

I've always gone on the basis of half a gram per watt for soil/coco. I know someone who has got as much as 2 grams per watt and i'm trying his method out at the moment but need to see it with my own eyes before i believe it!!

surely giving a 4 month veg anyone could easily manage this? What do you lot reckon is reasonable for a 12/12 from seed?

maybe not.. a 4 month veg will be a huge plant or tree. a huge plant or tree will need more watts..othwerise it would be covered in popcorn buds.

1g per watt is down to the grower and system used..

my personal best was a hydro grow- 805g or 28oz using 800w, 5week veg- total 90days seeds to harvest, just 2 plants. (delahaze diary)

give me the same set up, lamps and time, 2 plants with soil.. it'd be 6oz.

Well this is why "a gram a watt" is misleading since it doesn't take time into account.

You're right. The full phrase should be "One gram per watt for each month of flowering" Can't remember where I read it...out there on the Net thingy.....

Made a little error....it should read... "0.5 grams per watt for each month of flowering" hence the reason for it being shortened to 1gm per watt as most flower for 2 months roughly.
