Exhaust air goes into the hall way out of the room mate about 15 meter away from the tent

Intake air comes in fresh from outside via air brick

I was going to use a 6inch intake but thought bigger would be better?

    Thanks Bobby

As long as you have the side walls of your tent getting sucked in, negative pressure, then you're fine with an 8 in intake. I don't see why you're having temperature problems it sounds like you've got things set up pretty good.

I used to run a lung room, it was a room that I could air condition or preheat depending upon the season. That's why I took my intake air from and it allowed for a lot better control. I've seen guys do something similar by having a big cardboard box in line in their intake and then if necessary they could preheat the air or pre cool air.

Could the room that the tent is in be used as a lung room?

    15 metres of ducting? Ouch!

I have an aversion to flexible ducting. I'll use an extra fan rather than ducting.

Yeah all sucks in nice and tight Jingo, I can control the exhaust fan myself and currently it is set around 50% whcih creates a lovely negative pressure in the tent.

I was going to increase it by 20% to see if that would shift some more heat out of there but then noise can get a bit much.

Yeah I would say things are set up pretty good too mate, I'm gonna get a new thermometer today just in case that one is giving me a false reading because when I am in there zipped in, it does not feel like 28-30 degrees.

    Thanks dude

Hi mate and thanks for yet another tip....

    Oscillating fans? How many?

    Permanently on? day and night?

    Pointing anywhere specific?

    Thanks man

i agree your intake kink has to go. i don't think it is completely your cause but it is not going to help matters. the kink will reduce surface area, which limits the air that can be pulled in. a hose is only as effective as the point with the lowest surface area.
if you don't want to cut your intake ducting you can just shorten it by compressing it and clamp it or tape it together.

if that's not good enough it looks like you could fit a small cooler in there. i have had success fighting high temperatures by just putting bottles of frozen water in the room. it was just a temporary problem though and i wouldn't advise it for a whole summer, it was a lot of work.

or you could switch to LED if your budget allows it and save on electricity too.

Hi mate LED lights will be going in for the next run that’s for sure

I think have removed the kink best I can here now fellas see what you think?

If not I will chop down as mentioned above to 10cm from the floor and have a fan blowing on it

    Cheers Bobby

If you are pulling your intake air from the top of the tent
then you are pulling the hottest air you can. I would think
having the intake from the bottom should be a few degrees
    cooler. Remember hot air rises.
