    Default Ac infinity

Hi so my new grow space is going to be my shed which is 7x7x7= 343 cfm my outtake I was going to use was a tornado box fan 8" 1200 cfm but I've been looking at these ac infinity fans with the digital controller. So would a infinity s6 outtake and a 4" intake be any good or should I stick to the box fan. ??

That S8 rates at 807 CFM before hindering it with ducting and a filter. Air exchanged twice per minute. Plus you could run it at a lower speed and keep it more quiet.

Don't be a barney and have to buy better extraction midway through a grow. It's embarassing.

    I have that s6 in a 3x3. Just saying.

    Cheers

Yeah man when I go to upgrade my exhaust in my 5'x5' I plan on getting the S8, I think that's the size you should be looking at as well.

I went from the S4 to the S6 in my first coco grow (PEX below) in order to better handle the humidity. It helped. Wish I had bought properly the first time. I think extraction is one of those things where bigger is better. The reduced noise alone, imo, is worth the additional cost. And that's after you consider how much agony you'll avoid with substandard extraction. Go bigger!

    Cheers,

So I've seen one at 195 with the newer model digital controller and from what I've seen looks good question is I seen you can plug two fans into this model so if I did the 8" could I plug a 4" in for out take. Also are they quite more than the box fans

Box fans tend to have a really high cfm and are great at moving air quietly thru ducting.

I believe most use a squirrel cage fan and the ducting inside the box runs through a 90 degree angle to reduce noise.

When paired with a filter they are incredibly inefficient and can have the cfm more than halved in some cases.

You can negate some of that with filter choice but its still not the most efficient design for grow room extraction.

Something to be aware of when speccing up for the shed fella

Try it out on a dry run before you plant and if its not upto the task then upgrade. its 10 minutes to switch a fan out

Also dont forget bigger fan means bigger filter $$$

    How much ducting?

S4 is 205 cfm. Allowing 30% for reduced airflow because of the filter, that's 144 cfm. 9sft x 7 foot tall is 63 cubic foot. 144/63 is over 2 exchanges per minute. Without ducting, that will do.

Think about breathing through a snorkel. Not comfortable but can be done for a short while. Now try breathing through 10 foot of snorkel tube. Not so easy is it?
