My fan and filter is in the loft and the fan blows through the filter. Only plasterboard between the cupboard and the loft so no ducting needed.

After each grow, I put the humidity meter in the loft for a few days to be sure there isn't a problem.

I've got the S8 in a 5x5 with a 10" phresh filter, never had to put it above 6/10 so far but only 2 weeks flowering as of right now. Love the fan though seems to be effective so far

Have you tried altering the speed to see how that affects humidity?

Hi mate, if your asking me then Ive managed to keep it within acceptable parameters throughout veg at NOMORE than 4/10.

So far I'm 2nd week flowering, I've had to put it up by 1 per week to keep it steady between 48-55%. At the same time I'm keeping the temps around 26C as going off a VPD chart I found online if your humidity is a touch on the high side then a higher temp is preferable.

I'm no expert at all but I feel if it was any fan was set higher the noise level would be an issue so I'm hoping 6/10 is enough. Its more the whooshing sound coming from the end of the acoustic ducting. The fan itself is very quiet.

I originally bought a cheap Rhino fan without doing any research, it emitted a high pitched whine and there was no speed control so I ended up getting the AC S8 which is still v.quiet but I can sleep at night knowing my neighbor's aren't getting suspicious. Well worth the money just for the ease of use with the 67 controller.

I've seen that AC are bringing out some clip on fans, Cloudray line that can also be connected to the 67 controller so temp and humidity and airflow can all be controlled in one place. They are not out in UK yet as far as I can tell but I'll be investing as soon as they are.

    Hope this helps?

Their clip-on fans have an ec motor which will be nice. Mine is not hooked up but
I have read the controller 67 will now monitor vpd on the app. Can't wait to get
my tent back together and check this feature out.

I've got the app but it kept dropping Bluetooth everytime I connect it in my car, but I haven't checked if there's an update for a while. The UI lookss good and all but I have to be in the room to use it unfortunately. Might just be my phone.

What I mean is that I kept having to reconnect my Bluetooth to the controller everytime I'd connected in my car, was a bit of a hassle. Nice to know about the VPD feature though I'll have to have a look tomorrow.
