yep, I have a 5 x 5 x 8 tent (feet) and I wish I had purchased the 8 inch exhaust fan and filter. The 6 inch fan isn’t enough for me in flower and I just added a second extraction port to help.

My only issue is I'm using the ecotechnics controller which is good because I have everything hooked into it fans and heater but I suppose I can use my inkbird for the heater. I need a new filter anyways so ya

S4 is 205 cfm. Allowing 30% for reduced airflow because of the filter, that's 144 cfm. 9sft x 7 foot tall is 63 cubic foot. 144/63 is over 2 exchanges per minute. Without ducting, that will do.

Think about breathing through a snorkel. Not comfortable but can be done for a short while. Now try breathing through 10 foot of snorkel tube. Not so easy is it?
Numbers are great but in practice, it just didn't hold up.

0 feet of ducting. 45%RH in the lung.

I bought the S4 because of the math as did V. Math didn't matter when the humidity was nearing 65% in flower. A bigger fan certainly did.

Less ducting = more airflow = lower humidity.

I wince at those growers with weak fans and loads of ducting. They use dehumidifiers to solve problems that inadequate equipment have caused.

I just realized something. We're all fans of the AC Infinity extraction yet we all wish we had purchased bigger fans having trusted the numbers on the site.

Either the numbers are off and we're being swindled, or they perform extremely poorly with a filter attached... like they've been made for. Another option is that the recommended air exchange figures are off.

    In parallel:
If we're being sold the highest % THC pot but none of us are getting high, let's blame the pipe.

Not sure where the disconnect lies, but if we're going to be honest, AC Infinity fans aren't as good as they are advertised. But hey, they are quiet at half speed.

    Cheers,
    B

more plants more humidity to deal with.

I only run 2 plants in a 4x4 with an s6 and its overkill with plenty of wiggle room in a UK climate. If I was running more plants I would want more grunt no doubt

Got to say you don't get much wire on them so they need to be close to a power supply

I have a 10” gekko box fan and a 10” rhino pro filter. And it’s more than enough for my 4x8. I probably had it running at 30% and I thought it was going to make the tent implode lol. And paired with the acoustic ducting it’s virtually silent
