I've found yet another thing to test. I came across listings for GH Coco Grow & Bloom. The blurb made a big thing out of it being complete, calmag not needed as it already has plenty. (As always, believed when seen.)

The lucas formula isn't just 0/8/16. GH FloraNova Bloom and GH MaxiBloom are also used as lucas formula. Is GH Coco Bloom good enough to do the entire grow? If so, it would be a lucas formula for coco.

Oh please spin this one up. I've seen it work. I've seen YOU make it work. It still doesn't make sense to me that it does.

I think I'd be interested in doing a copycat grow of you too. Just don't know if it'd drive me insane as we've extremely different grow styles.

    Cheers

post script: This might also be a good space to test out seeds from any pollen chuckers on the Talk. I know they are few and far between, just thinking out loud.

barney, anything that works for me will work for anyone. That's my kick, being self sufficient with as little skill and effort as possible. I'll do a test of GH Coco Bloom vs the lucas formula coco variant, GH 0/6/9. I'll be growing autos so there's a chance that either mix will be too hot for them. Hopefully not, I don't like being dictated to by a plant.

If you like to tinker with nute regimes, the lucas formula could well drive you insane. We all end up dealer free no matter how we do it. No point growing in a way that doesn't suit you. Unless of course, the jars are empty. If a clueless newbie wanted to become self sufficient asap, I'd recommend the original hempy buckets using 3 parts perlite to 1 part vermiculite. Doesn't matter what nutes they use. I've only seen 2 failures with the original hempy buckets and in both cases, the grower deliberately went against the instructions. When there is enough bud to last at least 6 months, then the learning curve can be tackled.
