If you grow non auto plants keep the light really well covered during the dark period as has been said previously.
Light leaks are not good for photo period plants.
A small fan at the top of the tent directing the warm air down and one on the light housing would be helpful PC fans are ideal, they are quiet and use little power.
A 60w light bulb in a basement in winter is going to put out as much heat as a warm fart.

I did some work with a data logger and found that the biggest risk of condensation is shortly after either lights on or lights off. I had my tube heaters on a timer. They came on 30 minutes before lights off and turned off 30 minutes after lights on.

I was looking at a few 500-700 portable electric heaters, but none of them advise using an extension cord which I would need. Also not sure of the quality of such heaters for continuous use in terms of safety or durability.

    Still exploring all options.

One option is to ignore the low temps.

Yield will be lower of course but how much weed could be grown with the leccy used on heaters? If the yield drop puts you at risk of running dry, then obs some form of heating is needed. If a lower yield once a year doesn't stop you being dealer free, then heat/no heat is up to you.

I got a consistent 0.8gpw growing in the cold. Which was enough to keep me in bud.

That's pretty much what I've been doing all along. Been satisfied with my yields. Just thought I might tweak my winter setup if I could. Will likely bag the idea. Disappointed with what's available on the market for small tent growers.

You can buy extension cords that are rated for higher current's,my rad sits about 2' from an outlet so I didn't need one.

I'm not an electrician but that's what I always thought about extension cords.

Yeah dont buy cheap cords. You can buy a single socket extender rated for higher power and you will be fine

    V8

Perhaps I'll do back again then and and look at some of the better rated low watt heaters. There's got to be something out there to satisfy that niche.

13amp extension cable is rated for 3kw of power, I've gone for a single socket 13amp cable for mine that's just the right length.

Just don't buy cables on a real and leave most of it wound up that's a no no
