Default I think i just fooked up ordering a new LED

I think i just fooked up ordering a new LED IE a MARs hydro TSL 2000

after ordering it iv realised the dimensions of the light ie the length of it is listed at 996mm

but my growgrob is only 960.5mm I can see there id a lip on the reflector I could bend straight down

but i can't see from pics on net water the reflector angles out on end so I could bend it in or up

so i reckon I can make fit

but then i realised there the dam concetors to the boards are on the end as well grrr

I don't really want to return it if i can mod it slightly to fit as iv check every light speck and true par tests and that was the best coverage for grow only other light that would cover better was twice the price ie a hlg at 400 quid

does anyone here have one and can show me a pic or tell me how driver connectors are attached to the board

Im hoping I can remove connectors from boards at move em to top of light or back with some extension wires or something if not I'm got to have to hang the dam thing at an angle in the wardrobe ie one side a couple of inches higher that other side

I think you right that is some kind of fuck up. If I was you I would refuse package and let them return it. Go over to our sponsor's and have A talk with some of them, and let them fit you up with the right light. 300W is way over kill for 5 sqft. You max should only be 150W for that kind of space. JMO

Hi there I've a tsl and I just measured the board, regardless of any alterations you could do you would still have 1m exactly.
That's only 3" with most tents there's a bit of play in the walls you only need 1.5" per side, it might be fine.

The driver arrangement just screws to the top of the board.

Sorry I thought 3ft but at 3ft 2" it'll fit in, the power connector might be an issue like you've anticipated they stick out around 1" x2

The light has a 4x2 footprint with a dimer imo it's perfect to max out your space.
    Best of luck.

Trichomedome thanks mate iv been looking at more pics and i recon i could remove reflector end parts and proberly relocate the dc sockets

at worse I could always hang it a bit wonky on there I'm shaw if its an inch or two higher one side it will still max out the light in there and wont hurt

I knew it would be perfect for space another choice would have been a xs2000 but would not as had as good a light penetration to corners

I doubt its too much light its dimmable so can't run it lower in veg and turn up for flower as for coverage here's an actual proper par test on it

at the moment in in a grow drove in the spare room but there's nothing stopping me from sticking a tent in there
or putting up in the loft instead when I sort it out up there it's massive its an older house so cold pipes and cold water tank up there as well so no need to hump that up there

60sqft of light is too much light, even 30sqft is too much some times. You will find out your self. JS
