    Default Play Stations....

I have a PS3 (who laughed?!) & have just grabbed a copy of Doom for it...

Obviously, louder is better.... I used to play this on my PC & would plug in my headphones (3.5mm jack)

Without me having to drag out my console, does anyone know if it has a 3.5mm audio out jack?... bluetooth would be better but I don't think it has that

    Hello M_C,

PS3 and the controller does not have and audio jack. You need a 3.5mm jack to USB adapter to use your wired heaphone on PS3.

    Good luck.

I have one of the first PS1s. I've never played a game on it. I got it because the early PS1s are excellent CD players. Plus it was dirt cheap.

TBH, if the PS3 didn't have a BlueRay player, I wouldn't have bought it...!

If you have a set of bluetooth headphones you can use those with PS3 but as said 3.5mm needs an adaptor to usb

Bluetooth headsets offer the convenience of listening to your game's sound wherever you are in the room -- and play and chat with other users on the free online Playstation gaming network. Most Bluetooth headsets are compatible with PS3. In minutes, you can pair the device to your gaming console and hear the sound from the built-in speakers.

Turn on your PS3 gaming console; then turn on your TV. The PS3's XMB menu is displayed on the screen.

Connect the Bluetooth headset to the PS3 using a USB cable. The lights on the headset turn solid green to indicate that the headset and the PS3 system have been paired. Move to the next step if you want to pair it manually.

Press and hold the "Power" button on the Bluetooth headset until the power and mic indicators flash alternately in green and red. This indicates the headset is in "Discovery" mode.

Select "Settings" from the PS3's XMB menu; then press the "X" button on your controller. Click "Accessory Settings"; then click "Manage Bluetooth Devices."

Click "Yes" to pair the headset with your gaming system; then click "Start Scanning." The PS3 gaming system scans for the headsets and displays it. Do not turn off your headset during the scanning process.

Select the Bluetooth headset; then enter "0000" (without quotes) when the setup asks for a pass key.

Select "Settings" from the PS3's XMB menu; then press the "X" button on your controller. Click "Accessory Settings"; then click "Audio Device Settings."

Select your Bluetooth in the "Input Device" and "Output Device" sections. Selecting the Bluetooth in the "Output Device" section allows you to hear the game on your headset's speakers.

NO SELL, NO SMELL, NO TELL!!!
