    Default grow room heater

    hello all,

    Hope your all good.

I have a question for you guys and would really like your feedback please.

I have purchased a 3kw grow room heater as the weather has turned. After purchasing and going through the manual it specifically says that I should not put the heat fan on timer. This has really messed up my plans as I cannot be going into the room at lights off to be faffing about with putting it on and off manually.

question i am looking an answer for is

Can i put the fan heater on a timer?

thank you in advance for your help guys.

    happy growing and peace

You'd need a pretty heavy duty timer for this!

Indeed 3 kw is a lot, probably melt any timer lol.
It states to use only that one item in the socket nothing else. That’s because of the high wattage.

What are you heating ? I use a 2500w oil filled radiator (not on full blast) and it manages to heat my very cold attic just fine.Has a built in thermostat so no need for a timer.

    3kw? Wow that's a lot of heat...
I've got a grow in my outside shed 6x5 with a 2kw heater on half power using inkbird but I've instulated using 50mm boards amd bubble wrap insulation.
