Default Which coco nutrient to test?

I was planning to test GH Coco Bloom as a possible one bottle lucas formula for coco. Not long after the bottle arrived, I realised that GH Coco is 2 part, similar to their Flora series. The Grow and Bloom get used at the same time. The Grow/Bloom ratio changes as they grow. Bugger.

Now I'm wondering what to test alongside GH 0/6/9. I could order a bottle of GH Coco Grow and use the flowering dosage of 1.5ml/L Grow + 3.0ml/L Bloom. Seems a bit redundant as 0/6/9 is 2 bottles. Although I would like to test their claim that there's no need to add calmag.

For a 1 bottle all the way test, I'm currently looking at either Hesi Coco or Ionic Coco Bloom. Thoughts?

As I'll be buying a bottle of something, is there a single bottle coco (bloom) nutrient that you'd like to see tested?

Hey Farmer, I have been using Ionic Coco Grow/Bloom, now for a fair few years, pretty cheap at £10 a litre as well, and very good IMHO

Can you get Sensi nutes out there? I'm being selfish. I want to try it out but would much rather it be your burden

    Looking forward to it.

    Cheers

Samwise, a favour please. What's the pH of your tap water before and after adding 7ml of Ionic Coco Bloom to a litre?

barney, Sensi = AN so that won't be happening. I remember the bs they came out with when they started. Put me off for life. Did you know that using Hesi nutes gives you at least 3 times more cbn than other nutes? I'm sure their claims are more accurate now but first impressions and all that.

Mac, using GH Coco 2 part seems unlikely now so calmag for all. Is there a calmag routine that is suitable for all strains? I bought a bottle of Vitalink Calmag, has added iron so no anaemic plants. Today a bottle of calmag, tomorrow it's meters and added co2.

Fluffy, If that's GH coco nutes that you were needing to pH adjust, that has put me off trying it.

M_C, I was first thinking of Canna Coco AB as it seems similar to the lucas formula, same mix all the way. A few reports of it not being so great in flower. Too much N maybe? Needing to add PK to lower the N is moving away from the easy button. Do you use it as is or with PK? I suppose I could try it as is and see what happens. I'm looking for 'always works' rather than 'highest yield'.

It used to be about 15-20 quid for 5ltr bottles about 11 years ago,the bottles I have now cost a lot more,I had to have them shipped here from the UK.

There is no calmag routine suitable for all strains imo, there is one suitable for all coco tho

Your vitalink will be fine fella 1.8-0-0 and that trace of iron like you say, I would go for a booster program, buffer your coco at full label strength, rinse with weak feed (0,1 to 0.3 above tap) before you plant, then every 2-3 weeks give em a shot at half label dose in your feed. That should be enough to maintain happy coco, from there watch what the plant says.

For RO water, buffer your coco initially as above and add calmag to every feed (this helps with ph stability too), take the EC to 0.3 with calmag then add your nutes up to your desired EC. No need for the booster shots here.
