    Default Moving the Outdoors Inside

I really enjoy gardening outdoors. Throwing seeds in the soil and letting the glorious sun bless myself and my green friends is very rewarding. Harvest time is bitter sweet in my opinion. Enjoying the harvest is fantastic, but on the other hand loosing my plants kind of brings a tear to my eye. Most of my enjoyment is watching life develop, grow, mature, and shine. Needless to say there is a void in my life when winter moves in.

I am finally going to do something about that. Time to create my own growing season in the dingy old cellar.

I spent the weekend working on this 4'x4'x6' room. My goal is to have it finished up and in use by the New Year. I am waiting for the delivery of a Fohse Aries LED. I got to say I'm getting a little excited, it's been decades since I've had an indoor garden and this should help keep those winter blues at bay.

Indoor gardening is a hobby that sticks... even when you have enough cannabis, you still grow things.... last year I had the wife's poinsettia in the grow room for a few month

What I wouldn't do to have a space like that! Looks like you've framed a wall or two in your day. Looks clean so far. Keep us updated!

I consider myself more of a grower then a toker. Don't get me wrong... I love a good smoke every now and then, but my passion falls in the growing process. I try and practice the savor principle, but none of us are perfect. If I had to choose between the two, I wouldd never flick a Bic again. My wife on the other hand would choose differently. She is the true benefactor of my hobby.

I am stoked to be able to now control the environment and pretend to be as powerful as Mother Nature on a very minuscule scale. I plan on more then Cannabis being in my little area, but can't say I considered a Poinsetta.

Honestly, I haven't done much carpentry in my years other then building a treehouse or four when I was a kid. It's not perfectly square, plumb, or level, but it will work just fine for what I'm looking for it to do. Hey, kinda like myself.

I am on the road alot during the work week and I won't be able to make progress until the weekend. Next step is building the door. I'm going with a split door (top and bottom). If time permits, I will also work on the intake and exhaust vents.

The following weekend will be replacing the dungeon window(only natural light source) with plywood and adding the outlet to the exaust vent.

    So, how do you know?

The only time my outdoor girls make it indoors is after they have lost some key parts. Fan leaves, chlorophyll, roots...

Made some good progress this weekend. It is pretty light tight, I spent a fair amount of time with the caulk gun. I think I may need to add some structure to the door. I used thin plywood to help reduce weight, but I think its going to warp over time.

Still waiting on my light to be delivered. Patience is not easy sometimes. Hopefuly it gets here soon, my goal is to have germinated beans by the New Year.
