    Not that hard. You need a pressure canner if you want to go the DIY route and not the kit.

    Does it need to be pressurized? I mean you only boil jars for canning and that's good enough to store food in.

    You can do it without the pressure cooker but you need to boil the jars for atleast an hour, three times 24 hours apart.

    I'm gutted that I sold my pressure cooker after the incident.
