With me running a segment timer there all Going to get a good rain for 15 mins so run off should hopefully be ample but like blue has pointed out I'll have to slow the flow other wise I'll get water gushing out the sides.

I'll fill my pots with coco and run the system tweaking the flows while I'm waiting for my seeds to pop.

If i feel these airpots won't cut it I'll fall back to the fabrics I've still got lying about.

    Cheers

What's wrong with regular pots? There's never a problem with them.

    That is true.
I have neither pots so I'm going to have to buy anyway.

The lip on top of a regular pot will help remove the plant from my room but also the airpot has holes that are handy for Lst hmmmmm.

Fabric pots increase tent humidity. I've never seen anyone commit to a number, but it's certainly a non-0 value. Something to take into account, maybe.
I love seeing roots growing out of the bag every single day. Let's you know your roots are still doing the lord's work.

    Mon the coco!

I’d be inclined to go the regular pot route with an automated system.
The pots I use have big lips so I hook the wire underneath the lip when I tie down.

A mate hooks the wire to under the lip.

I've also seen holes drilled in the top or string tied around the pot to anchor the training wires.

    Right.......

I'm going for regular pots 15-20ltr running coco, leave me alone the lot of you !!!!!

I can pick the pots up locally, might actually throw an airpot in amongst see what the difference is like someone previously mentioned.

Have you seen any numbers on how much the RH goes up with fabric pots Vs plastic?

Only way to get this number would be to run two identical tents with clones that grew identically while using different containers. Impossible most likely.

I have IR beamed the outside of the fabric pot. And felt it with my hand. It's moist and much cooler than the air, like the leaves.

What would the wet fabric be cooler? Among other things like material color, evaporation. That's why we sweat after all. Evaporation puts water vapor into the air increasing humidity. That's the logic.

I'd love to have the conversation. My mind can be changed.

It was one of the rabbit holes I attempted to go down when I was fighting high humidity last summer.

    Cheers,
    B

My cupboard has a full canopy and the meter is resting alongside a cola. ~RH50%. ~RH35% when in veg. A few months back I left the same meter in the cellar for a few days, RH86%. So I assume that if the meter is under reading, it isn't by much.

The cupboard has ott airflow. I'm guessing somewhere between 3 and 5 exchanges of air per minute. I'm hoping that my new S4 at 100% will equal the output of the 8" rvk @ 40%. That would give me the option of RH50% during flower and slowing the S4 down a lot in veg for higher humidity.
