HLG Scorpion Rspec or LUMATEK ZEUS 600W Pro ?

HLG state 2.81umol/J for the Scorpion R-Spec (I think it’s my 260W QB’s that are 2.3umol/J, although I can’t remember where I read that).

Over 3 is on the Diablo’s which use a different board to the “old” Samsung LM301H/B boards, with 648 LED’s per panel - More LED’s per board on the same wattage = less wattage per LED they run cooler & output more light.

They haven’t caught up to latest fad yet

Technically the bar style’s are still “quantum boards”. It’s the same technology, only the layout is different.


Prince Whatever? (Who started this thread) if you’re switching from HPS you may well do better (find it easier to transition) to the HLG’s. What size space are you lighting?

Or maybe hlg know something we don't and aren't wasting there time with the bar style lights

What they knew that before the technology was available, so never adapted to it?

The reason I posted about the "EU" sticker is because we have had folks ask why in the U.K. it was "GHE" and not just "GH. They thought it was a different company.

I sent an email to HLG and asked about bar lights and the said they will be selling them in 2023.

I have been using the zues 2.9 pro LED for nearly 2 years and glad i made the move from HPS. If done right it will produce more/better/fatter buds. I have a 1.5x1.5 tent with the one zues 2.9 pro LED with 6x plants in 30ltr pots. All fits perfect + produces much more than a 600w HPS over 4plants (obviously lol).
There is newer cheaper versions of the LED lights like the omega infinity pro 3.0 which claims is better than the zues pro 2.9(time will tell?) also zues has hit back with a brand new release of a zues pro 3.1 which claimes 10% more light coverage.
Its definately worth the change for more reasons like cheaper to run + no big heat signiture.
My mate didnt believe LEDS where better but now hes seen my outcome + set up, he has now changed to led lol.
I will come back when i can to help you with the change to LEDS as its a big change in enviroment from HPS.
