Mills organics? Anyone used them yet. Very acidic in my water
Hello gang
Hope you are all well and puffing happily
Anyway, has anyone used the new mills organic range yet. I'm a big fan of mills usual line up, it's an excellent range, so I was happy to get a sample of their new organic nutes.
4 bottles, a calcium, a base a veg and a flower additive, so 3 at a time.
One thing I have noticed though in comparison to my usual biobizz fishmix and bloom is that the solution is realllllly acidic, down to 4.2ph in my v soft, pH 7 tap water. Biobizz drops it to 5.2 and a little pH up brings it to 6 ish which is ideal..
The mills, however, in a 20 litre bucket, takes 15 ml of straight pH up to bring to 6. A ridiculous amount of potassium hydroxide (growth tech pH up). I even bought a new bluelab pH meter as I didn't believe how much I needed to add.
Regardless, the plant has grown well, there is less calcium deficiency showing compared to the others, but tbh it's really quite negligible and the price increase if I was to go full mills would be a massive amount. Prob 4 or 5 times the cost of my current biobizz method.
I might get the calcium supp and run that with my normal plan, but as for the rest, I'm afraid I can't justify it.
When you do things right, people wont be sure you've done anything at all.
