If in doubt, throw money at the problem.
If you had a spare fan and filter, they can be taped together and used as an air scrubber. Will negate odour from any room that you're drying in.
The extra filter costs nothing long term as you'll be needing it at some point. The extra fan, well that's a spend as it is most unlikely that an extractor fan will die on you. Your choice as to whether an odour free environment is worth the extra expense.
For a cheapo solution that almost works, wrap a cooker carbon sheet filter around a tower fan. If you already have a tower fan, it's worth buying the carbon sheet. I'm not so sure that buying a tower fan just for this is worth it though.
It'll stink!
Farmer's ideas are probably the best I could come up with too... we are more used to growing in cupboards rather than drying in them

i think farmer geddon has answered this with the best solution, but something i have done before is i built a mini cardboard box drying room that hung in my grow room. it had metal wiring built into it to hang it with and to hang buds inside and it had a basic light baffle in/out air flow and was placed next to the extractor so it would suck air through the box. it was a desperate solution and it was always in the way but it did work.

I've dried a harvest of just over 4oz in a spare bedroom with closed windows and no fan or odour control. The door was enough to stop the odour getting into the hall. Not so with an 11oz harvest, that could be smelt in the hall. I also burped the 11oz in that room. Jars open one day, closed the next. Noticeable odour in the hall on the days the jars were open.

I went down to U-haul and picked up a large wardrobe box. It's 2'x2'x4' with a metal bar for hanging. It cost me $12. I put it in my bedroom closet. I left the bottom open and put a small fan there. Obviously the closet smells dank and the bedroom less so. No smell in the rest of the house.
