    Default Help Savve my electric bill

    I am running. 3x3 tent grow.
    Mars hydro TS1000
    4" duct fan
    2 6" fans
    1 10" fan
    Inkbird temp and humidity controllers.
    Maintain ingba 72 degree tent in a basement in winter ya.. I got a 700w oil radiant heater in my tent. Put the heater in the tent 28nov.y Dec electric bill was 300 my Jan bill is 600 is this little fucking heater using that much electric?

    Wife's gonna kill me lol
    Should I try to rigid foam my tent?
    What should I do?

    Can't just be the radiator unless there's no heating or insulation in your basement at all,my bill barely changed using the radiator at 700w(lowest setting),you could insulate the room that the tent is in so the heat from the radiator keeps it warm for longer.

    You have to remember that all your other equipment (lights, fans etc) combined probably doesn't even add up to 700w.

    My bill damn near doubles this time of the year. My co op charges on a scale i think.

    And you’d be surprised what some of these space heaters pull from the wall. My wife never shuts off the one next to the shitter and it drives me up the fuc*ing wall. $300 more would he excessive, but if you turn on that heater and it’s immediately throwing off heat like an F-18, it’s definitely contributing to your bill.

    A wattage meter will tell you the draw of your heaters and fans and also how many kw/hr used over time.
