    Default Cloudy Resevoir

    Morning all!

Over the weekend, I emptied out my res as it had some sediment floating about. Looks almost like tiny coco particles but it probably had some life...
Drained it, wiped the interior of the res and the pumps/lines down with H2O2 then refilled. Took my sweet time adding nutes back in starting, of course, with silicone.

48 hours later, and it's very cloudy in there. Moreso than I'm used to seeing.
Any thoughts? No big deal? I didn't notice until after this morning's fertigation so the plants are currently drinking cloudy solution.

Really shouldn't be but there exists a non-zero chance that I left the lid cracked. I'm usually very good about replacing it.

I can say no with a 90% certainty.

Thanks for getting the ball rolling, TightNugs. I appreciate ya.

HAHAHA!! Yes! The cure all. Adding cal mag was the last thing I've done to the resevoir. Maybe that's the culprit!

But as we all know, calmag can only help. Especially in large quantities and paired with 2 more weeks.

A Calcium Carbonate precipitate may have formed which could have caused the cloudiness.

This is because I added additional cal mag late? You think I need to dump this?

    Cheers

I don't think you need to dump it. I'd cut the dose down next time to see if that clears it up.

    Any weird smell to it?

Hip shot here, and this goes contrary to the bennie crowd, but I use DIY clear rez. Crystal clear, no stink. My issue is reservoir temps. I am too dumb to go bennie route, so went sterile route. Had that happen exact same way, one day after fill, stinky/cloudy. Emptied, cleaned with bleach, same thing next fill. Added solution and clear within a day. Blasphemy to some I know, but 2c delivered..

Do you have a pump that is constantly moving the water?
