I’ve found the soil in tomato grow bags too hot for cannabis. I like to use John Inns 1,2 and 3. 1 for seedlings, 2 for Veg and 3 for flower. No nutes, just keep potting up. If they’re going in the ground I’d suggest getting them to a decent size in pots, harden them off in a green house if you have one, or just make sure they’re protected from frost at night until around the end of May. Make a hole twice the size of the pot, line with general purpose compost or John Innes no 2 and stick them in.
With regard to the watering, I thought watering from the top was recommended because, as the water works it’s way down through the soil it pushes out the old air in the root ball and draws new fresh air in. But if your system is working for you, stick with it.
