Cheers m8 my humidity is usually to low if anything so I bought a tricky humidifier a couple of years ago but would probably need a bigger one

Humidity was too low in my cupboard until mid to late flower. Fan too big and couldn't slow it any more.

Both the cmh and the 8" rvk have been replaced. led lights now and the fan is an A C Infinity S4. With the S4 set to 1/10, it's RH50% in early veg. As they grow and the humidity rises, I'll increase fan speed. At full speed, the S4 should be about the same airflow as the 8" rvk @ 40%. I'm using the S4 as both humidifier and dehumidifier.

The temps could do with being higher. They stay around 20'C because of the c/h. I'm not bothered though. Enough humidity for them to grow ok and not too much humidity during flower will make up for lower than optimal temps. I hope.

Nobody ever listens to me. I might as well be a Leonard Cohen LP.

I have an EC stick but never use it,the PH pen I use every day though.
You will use lots more nutrients so don't go for the most expensive or complicated lineups, for veg Ionic coco is fantastic and it's really cheap, and it's a 1 part feed just add to water and PH it.

Hey Farmer, you nearly have me converted, Hallelujah

If you had asked me a month ago I would have said, you would need a descent Ph/EC pen if growing in coco, but over the last month using Mega Crop I am seriously beginning to wonder if that advice is sound. After a month using it the EC and Ph of my reservoir are stable, and I haven't used a drop of Ph up or down.

I think thou this is highly dependent on the nutes you use, most hydro nutes require a Ph of 5.5 to 6.5, and you find you will need to adjust Ph to get into that range.

All I can say thou is with Mega Crop the Ph is stable pretty much when mixed, my plants are healthy

Proof of the pudding is in the eating thou, not in the mixing, so I will reserve total judgement until harvest

cheers m8 so you reckon if i lowered my extraction fan speed it would raise the humidity, i did think that in the past but wasn't sure it would work, it's a 4" rhino twin speed fan and it's always on the slower speed but i've got a nice spider farmer one with a speed adjuster i was going to use for a dry tent/cuboard but i could set that one up, up to now i've just thought the same as you at least it won't get too high in flowering

I'm sad to say that's exactly the thought I had, sorry Scorpion, benefit of the doubt and all that.
