    Default Miracle Gro Starter Soil...

I was in the hardware store today and picked up a bag of this starter soil to try on something from seed. Anyone use or tried this? Good or bad?

I don’t know what it’s like these days but I remember in the past folks complained it’s a tad hot for little uns.
I’m sure there was a miracle grow curse thread or something.
My stoner brain may have imagined that though

My last grow I started in it. It actually worked pretty good.

I grabbed a bag to start some seeds as well. It was adequate but ime you want to sift it enough to get the largest particles out before using it for germinating seeds.

It's very barky, you see. I grew a little side plant out in that stuff. It's convenient at Lowe's but it's not my preferred mix by any means.

    Cheers

Good to know. Haven't opened the bag yet.

And as Barney said, it is rather ‘barkey’. Reminded me more of mulch than soil. But it did work. Would not seek out or use over Happy Frog though.

I use it all the way through when I grow my autos in the closet. It's just the right amount of nutrients and doesn't have any lumber. A little expensive, but easy to find everywhere.

How many times do you need to transplant using it "all the way through"?
