    Default Need advice

    Need some help on what's going on with my ladies. They are from seed about 2 weeks old. The soil with perlite is fax farm and the soil with out is from Walmart. No nutes and fed ro water at a pH of 5.8Click image for larger version.

    Hows your watering regime? They look very dry.

    If they are over 14 days old you can transplant them and check the root zone.

    They look hungry, I'd do what V8 says and pot up.

    Hi gxkon, as said above, the soil looks super dry..at the seedling stage you need a little amount of water that's true, but never long periods of extreme dry periods, and ideally you need the humidity at this stage to be relatively high.

    The problem is, if plants are forced to transpire quicker due to very low humidity for example, even the smallest amount of nutes in the soil can 'burn them', add to that the lack of water in the soil is a recipe for disaster.


    Make sure any pot seedlings/plants are in have good drainage, water sparingly at the seedling stage but never let the soil dry out completely and especially not for any long periods, the soil can become anerobic very quickly.

    I'd also advise to make sure humidity is at 60% and above at the seedling stage, due to their unestablished root system...and for good growth keep temps above 20c lights on. Take a look at VPD for 'ideals'.
