I could, but that would require extra work, money and space.

I'd say switch over to photos the difference in bud quality smell and taste is like night and day with autos and photos. Yes with autos you grow big buds but there always leafy and airy. Best of with the tight tasty nugs from a photo.

    Hey Doink,

Think you pretty much have the answers, but that size tent I would look at 2 or 3 plants in 15 to 20l containers.

You don't need to pot up if you don't want to, you can just plant directly into the final pots. Potting up is useful thou sometimes, if you have a veg tent, as if your flowering plants need extra time, you can slow down your vegging plants by potting them up.

If you are worried about paying out money on heating during the 12/12 period, you can do what I do, and run the lights over night when its coldest, and then have lights off during the day when the ambient temps are warmer.

    Good luck fella

If you want maximum yield psf, then autos imo. Also autos if you want maximum harvests per year.

The autos I've grown have been dense enough. The smoke was acceptable although I've had better photos. There may be an auto strain I like better than most photo strains, who knows?

Doing a perpetual with autos is easy enough. Start a seed every 2 weeks. Using a one mix nute regime, eg lucas formula or Mega Crop means no picky feeder headaches.

    Those are all great suggestions!
That's how I run my light schedule simply because my electrical cost per kwh is usually lowered during the off hours-low-demand night time. Good way to save a few bucks.

I'm actually thinking about going right to a 19l container sooner than later on my current grow. Have done it in the past with very good results.

Once you've been growing for a while longer you will soon see quality beats quantity every time.

I think that's a given assuming an adequate stash. I just don't think your blanket statement holds true. In fact, I know it does not.

That you think autos cannot make frosty, dense nugs sounds like you've had some bad experiences. And you do well with photos so more power to ya! But for one person to disqualify the experiences of an entire Internet of auto growers seems a stretch to me. Let alone a single forum.

Agree to disagree. I've seen and smoked some pretty trash photoperiod weed... I make no unilateral claim about all photos.

Just saying you paint with a broad stroke is all. And that's okay too.

    Cheers.
    B
