Some nice girls you have there.

You’ll probably be flipping soon,so I’d be getting some more food inside them before you do,as they look a tad hungry.

MPSJ, March 23rd is week 8 and 30th is week 9. Depending how they look after this latest trim, I will flip - I am looking to get a little more tops created before I flip and I believe I am almost there.

Bethmeg, I have been going low on the Grow Nutirents as I was noticing the tips were getting white/yellowish. I use Botanicare Pure Blend Grow (soil), they say use 18 to 20 ml/gallon each feeding at this stage, if i do, plus the 3 ml of Silica Blast and 8 ml of CalMag, I get in the 1500 ppm range and so I thought that might be a bit too high and cause more burining of the tips. I do see what you mean that they are lime colored and such. I did just feed them yesterday and trimmed them tonight. But they are not that deeper green looking...

My first grow after a 3 year break was also my first time with autos. I wasn't sure what to expect. I saw leaf tip discolouration during the flowering stretch and assumed nute burn. I lowered the ec which altered the pH. (I don't adjust pH.) They didn't like the new pH. With future grows, I kept to my same one mix nute regime, the lucas formula, ec 1.8. If I saw discolouration of the leaf tips, I ignored it.

Whatever causes it, the plants can deal with it better than I can.

Thanks Farmer, the PPM from Silica and calmag aren't that high, but when Botanica Pure Blend Pro Grow is added with the recommended dose, the PPM is higher than recommended range by a lot.

So for safety reasons. I use less, (clearly not enough). Which leaves me with lime green leaves. (I need to fix that)

I'm at the last of the Botanicare Grow & Bloom macro nutrients. When those are done, I'm moving over to Mega Crop.

    Thank you,

We all want to admire those end-user buds, but how the plant grows is just as interesting to me. All else being equal I have two twin now that are growing-up differently.

I've used the lucas formula for almost 20 years. Lime green leaves R Us. GH may have changed their Micro as my last few grows with it were not really lime green.

I've moved to Mega Crop. They're getting 30g/20L. By my calcs, that's ec 1.58 + base. They're doing fine.

I don't flush. For curiosity I'll try a dry but uncured sample to see if it's a lung buster or not. If it is, no matter. I'm ahead enough to be only toking cured bud.
