intake airflow is 4" x 10" in the vinyl, 2" high which is a big improvement over my last shed.

need to warm the intake air up before it enters the flower room/veg room, don't want cold air hitting my girls

Raised veg floor 6" and channel the intake air, between tube heaters, will need the veg floor on a hinge so I can access the tube heaters, will need a few 1ft tube heats so I can control temperature more effective depending on the time of year and this will also prevent light leak and reduce noise leaking out of the intake vent.

The flower room fans, filter will all be above the veg room, don't want the fans too close to the canopy or ducting taking room up in the flower room, I want the flower room to be a empty white box ready to be filled with plants and lights.
Make sure to have a filter or tights or some other thing over your intake. Don't want creepy crawlies get in there.

    8" rvk @ 40% power = 80w. AC Infinity S4 at 100% power = 28w. The S4 will pay for itself in less than 38 weeks.

    2 x HLG 100 24/0 = £10 a week, temps too low. 315w cmh 24/0 = £17 a week, temps 25'C. When using led, can I get the canopy from 20'C or lower, to 25'C with only a quid a day spent on heating? £1 gets me 3.33 kw/h. That's about 14w over 24 hours. Not going to happen.

Will an unheated led grow give me a lower or higher growing cost than an unheated cmh grow? The cmh has given 1.0 gpw. If the led gives more than 1.0 gpw at low temps, then it's cost effective.

Perhaps breeders will start offering strains bred to give good yields at low temps.
I also enjoy breaking everything down(numbers)

This is my take on my current flower room,
    price per kWh (15p)

    fans on 24h
7" desk fan (0.020kWh) (veg room fan)
    5" rvk fan 70% (0.035kWh)(fan/filter)
12" floor fan Lowest setting(guessing 0.050kWh, as highest setting uses 0.08kWh)(flower room fan)
    24h x 0.105kWh = 2.52KW per day (2.52KW x 15p = 38p)

    flower light
    25 x 13w = 0.325kWh (1m x 1.4m)(22,000-29,000 LUX @18")
(looking at some of the old t5's charts, 200-300 par), from what I can find online 22,000(3000k) is about 400par and 28,000(3000k) is about 500 par so I should be good.
I have ordered 5 incredible bulk seeds, as its an indica dominant strain, the plants should require less light/heat than a sativa strain.
    0.325kWh x 12h = 3.9KW (3.9KW x 15p = 58p)

    veg light
    2 x 13w = 0.026kWh (0.6m x 0.3m, no reflector, (10-12,000 LUX @12")
    0.026kw x 24h = 0.624(9p)

    heater
    0.08kWh x 12h = 0.960(1kw = 15p)

    (fans) 38p + (flower light) 58p + (veg light) + 9p +(heater) 15p = £1.20p per day

    Average crop time 8 weeks(flower)

    8 (weeks) x 7 (days) = 56 (days)
    56(days) x £1.20p = £67.20 (Electric cost per crop)

    Thanks Blue,
That's good advice, I have tried a few things over the intake, but find it reduces the intake airflow but I will have a think about this.

Damn, you're only paying 15p per kwh? I'm double that after the price increase.

i just used a comparison site to check out a random address in uk and the cost was also much higher than the map on 'power compare'. not sure what is going on there.
any other input from anybody in UK?
