Not as big a problem with the AC Infinity fans as they are so quiet. My S4 is currently running 3/10. Standing outside my groom door in the hall, the little humidifier in my kitchen is louder. The fan on my oven is louder.

Farmer these fans are not jarring or abrupt at all when they ramp up or down on the speed control. There very smooth and quiet on the 67 and 69 controller. I called AC Infinity to see if there was a button hack so I could get into the firmware and do some tuning so I could tighten up and fine tune the controls a bit more because I know the firmware is in there as are the settings. Tech support dude was like we don't allow customers access to the firmware. So that tels me there is a way to tune them even more. When I order and get my unit in for the 2x4 tent I'm going to figure it out. I would like to tighten up the ramp up time and once it hits the set point it just shuts the fan off instead of stepping back down,,, and tighten up differential setting and things like that. And with the new Bluetooth version I'm getting I might be able to write a update to the firmware and use it straight from my cell phone/laptop or port it to wifi. I think they maybe coming out with a wifi enabled controller.

Everything is ordered! Gorilla 2x4 w/high cfm kit, high cfm kit for 3x3, HLG 350R, UVA-30 XL, AC Infinity 6" Exhaust fan, filter and 67 control, Apogee MQ-610, 3ea. 6" fans, Power Strips and Extension Cords. Will get the Humidifier and Light Timer from a local shop. A new tent will be growing next weekend....
