Absolutely this! I've been preaching this to everyone I'm teaching. The ones that take it seriously are doing awesome. Tactfully, I'll let you guess the alternative outcomes.

It was Blue61 that clued me in months back and it's something that changed how I looked at growing. The nutes matter not if the plant can't access them due to the environment!

Worth repeating each time I see it mentioned.

    Cheers

In reviewing the last few comments, It had me thinking of my environment and the steps I have taken to improve my tent's exterior structure and interior environment, especially due to the area my two tents are base - the attic. A stand alone tent would not be able to maintain heat or withstand freezing temps. Because i have no alternative locations to set up my tents, I too msde investments to provide an environment that will sustain perpetual grows. I also added rewired the wire runs from my attic to the fusebox, which is in the basement. This allowed me to upgrade from the standard 14ga & 15 amp fuses to10ga wire and 20 amp fuses. What a pain in the ass that was.

I added 2 inch rigged layers of 6R foil backed panels to the top and sides of both tents. For lighting - in the 4x4 are SF4000 & SF2000 which cover the 4x4 better than a stand alone SF4000 could. For ventilation, I have an 8" Infiniti fan for extraction and 6" Infiniti for intake. Both have the controller 78 which has bluetooth, and allows threshold tep & humidity trip points. Awesome feature! I also have a 5 gallon diy bucket with 3 head mist maker that allows me to run 70% RH for at least 9 hours. Is it perfect, no, but over this 2 year covid period, I've made these upgrades from learning how to adjust for the environment that surrounds my tents, and pleased with the ability to maintain temps at 70F to 83F & RH of 60% over a Midwest winter.
My current grow environment is by far the best in the five photo grows I now have under my belt. Many thanks to all you good people for helping me with some of my challenges.
Nutrients are a separate battle, but I do like Greenleaf Nutrients single Mega Crop and Bud Explosion. Especially since there are users of it on here. Prior I was using Botanicare's line, and although I was getting nice results, I had no one on here to discuss feed questions to. Their 800# was nice, but you can't build a relationship there.
Contributors Samwise and Farmer (plus many others) have been helpful with feedback through their experiences, something an 800# can't provide (not those type of 800#'s).

I'm in week five of flower. Here are the ladies.

Still combating the lite green nitrogen issue, but it's going to be fine.

    Thanks,

Lime green leaves are a characteristic of the lucas formula and plants grown with it do well enough.
