COB Lights

I'm just curious if anyone on here is using COB lights to grow?

I see a lot posted about Quantum Boards when it comes to LED but I don't see that much about COBS. Anything I do see about them seems to be 4-5 years old.

Am I using inefficient/outdated lights? I've got 4 Cree CXB3590 cobs on a 250w driver. Should I consider switching to QB's?

Lol, guess not then. Migro cob maybe? Like a spotlight I think, but good. Who used to use cob lights then?

I did them years ago, they grow plants, but far from the best light. I would check out some of our sponsors and see what they have to say about their LED's? JMO

California Light works make A really good COB light.

COB's are old tech now. Much more efficient with a QB board.

Good to know. My buddy bought and built the light in 2019 and I bought it from him in 2020. He was adamant that it was supposed to be the best kind of light. I guess I’ll start saving for a good QB.
