Tbh it would be more effective to turn the intake fan off.

It’s because your electric is shit (110VAC), same as your imperial (standard) measurements

If you left the intake running with the exhaust on it would force the smell out.

When my lights go out, my controller drops my exhaust fan & a timer turns off the intake. Helps to keep the heat in the tent & my dehumidifier chucks out a good amount of heat for less wattage than a heater.

I would take the C02 thing with a pinch of salt, think about all the grower that set there tent up in a spare room with the door shut, the air is looping in the room.
TBH your plants only need a low amount of C02 to pull a good crop.

I don’t have an intake fan,I use passive intake through the vents.

When the lights are off I just have the oscillating fan blowing.

I’ve caught the odd whiff up there now and again but as long as you can’t smell it outside it’s fine.

I understand this won’t work for everyone,I guess it would be harder in a tent, but I think it’s worth trying for folks that struggle with night temps.Utilising a timer would work too, having it come on every hour for 15 mins or so.

Plants don't photosynthesise in the dark, so they don't need Co2 when the lights are off. The exhaust fan only needs to run slower, to keeps the air moving through the carbon filter. Less turnover helps keep the humidity lower & the temperature up by keeping the air in the room longer.

I have my heater on an Inkbird controller, but there's timer in between them, so it can only come on when the lights are off (because I refuse to pay to run them simultaneously).
