    Default Water before chop?

    How's it going guys.

Harvest time is coming soon and I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, that the general consensus is to chop when the medium is dry.
So I was wondering, if I watered a few hours before chop, would that increase the drying time?
Does anyone here water before Harvest?

I dunno for sure but I've chopped when bone dry and day after watering and never noticed a difference in drying time

Interesting. Only reason I thought about it was because I squeezed a couple of buds the other day and they felt a bit airy. I lifted the pots and they were light so watered them, a few hours later I squeezed them again and they seemed denser. I assume from the water running through them, so thought the extra water would slow down the drying.

I have noticed a difference Doink, the times I've not given water because I knew I was gonna chop them and wanted a quicker dry..I did indeed get a faster drying time, and when I keep to my schedule and they have a watering they do go that little longer..it's not a MASSIVE difference, I would say like 1-3 days max

Hmmm...I never gave it much thought. I just keep on my watering schedule until chop time. I'm guessing my soil at that time is not bone-dry.

Thanks Ice. I'll give it a go then, even if it is just a day. Every little helps

I usually give the last feed the day before chop day. Unless the nute res is low a week before the chop. Then I let the res run out rather than make a new mix. Sometimes that means no feed for 3 or 4 days. Can't say I've noticed a difference.
