I've seen smaller than the standard but I worry if its not a brand I've used or been recommended. Think its Fox carbon filters that offer mini sizes

I do that... currently incorporating it into a cupboard build where it extracts into a boxed in filter. Only way out after its gone through the filter is out of a vent hole in the box that leads outside.

I have been thinking of doing a diy inline filter which is pretty easy to make. All done using cheap parts from local diy store. Better than my attempt at explaining I have included a link to a youtube video that I am going to copy myself for this next run, Mainly just to see how effective it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08LkkzPKVoc&t=1s

Thanks. But places who offer them are over seas and won't ship to the United States
