    Default Quick harvest question

trichomes turning colors but not leaves

Am I incorrect here? I thought they looked like they are turning, but my leaves have not changed color AT ALL.

Thoughts? As always, any and all help appreciated!

I have branches bending over, and several snapped off (trim practice ), so had to prop them on plant stands:

Leaves, stems, pistils, calyxes, buds can all change size/shape/colour during the lifecycle of the plant.

NONE of which indicate when its ready to smoke

There is 1 indicator and one alone... Trichomes (there are several more but require labs and equipment to test, for the purpose of homegrown then Trichs are king )

It's recommended to check the trichs on the actual bud rather than leaf trichs as these are the ones that have matured most and give the best indicator. Its fine to snip a small piece of bud off the plant to make it easier to see if you struggle to get a good read on the plant

They look about ready to my eye. You could flush a few days if you believe it makes enough difference. I usually flush a few days before chop cause its an opportunity to be lazy and not mess around with nutes and ph lol

    Looking great PI

If you are in coco I'd flush for 4-5 days and then chop.

    Enjoy!

Trichomes are saying the buds are ready. Are these just the top buds? Have you check the lowers? I prefer to harvest in stages. Tops first then the bottoms 2 weeks later when the trichomes amber.

If the leaves aren't fading it just means you've done a good job with ya feeding regime, kudos

Do you usually flush more than once, riot? I flushed once, but water ran clear pretty quick.

I thought the same thing when I checked last night; I swear they grew MORE white stigmas! (Or, maybe just didn’t notice, because I wanted to harvest so bad )
Just finished ninth week of flower… Still waiting!
