    Exclamation Leaf miner invasion

Greeting fellow growers, it was a really sad look when I opened my tent and 4 (I have 5) plants had leaves tunneled by leaf miners. It's a lot, like 1/5 of all the leaves, somehow I noticed just today. I have only neem powder, can I use that to somehow combat these intruders? If so, please how. What can I do to stop the spread to the last plant? I'd be glad for any advice

Neem oil is supposed to be good for leaf miners. Sprayed at night. I don't think the powder would be useful in this situation but i could be wrong.

Never ran across neem powder... how does that work?

A year ago I couldn't find locally any neem oil so I bought some neem powder, wanted to use it as a fertilizer, and also against ants as they made a nest from my pot. Sprinkled it on top of the soil and it somewhat worked, they moved away. Can recommend.

Well now I found some neem oil finally and I'm going to apply it tonight, but the plants are in flower. So I can't spray, only like apply with a brush or something?

Neem meal is a fertilizer. I put some in with my soil blend but still get gnats.

That sounds tedious. Unfortunately it will ruin the flowers so cannot be sprayed.

'White oil' a 'tweaked' recipe against leaf miners from the victorian times

Obviously not good to use in flower, and make sure to raise lights away from plants to spray them, then once dry you can bring them back down again.

You could do a spray test on a few leaves to make sure all will be fine.
