I had a plant with bud rot, trimmed away what I could visually see, then threw the buds in Mason jars filled to the very top with RO water. A 5 to 7 day effort, exchanging old water with new. Definitely stunk when draining, but less and less each day. Drying it after was a pain, as I placed the buds in a box with indirect breeze from low rpm fan. Took another few days to dry. Once it was done, it looked OK, nothing that I'd but if it was offered. But it was smooth smoke, like h I get hits and no cough... there was no weed smell, but more of a Church incense smell. It also did not stay green long, it turned brown only after a few days. Still smoked great and high was nice! I'd use the process again if necessary.

When I first read up water curing, it was said that the bud would dry within hours. Not for me, it took a few days. Quicker than air dried bud though. I now have a dehydrator with a lowest setting of 40'C so will be giving that a try.

I'm getting low on cannabutter and now have a bee in my bonnet about growing a plant for maximum trim/larf. I have plenty of bud jarred up so why not?

I’ve read quite a few posts online about drying in a dehydrator, hope it works out well for you m8

It's a rotten cabbage smell, not cannabis odour. It cleared quickly enough for me.

    Scorpion,

When changing the water from a water cure (buds soaking in mason jars), your dumping that water down the drain. You want to use a strainer or the mason jar's lid to prevent the buds from falling out. It's a 2 min process, and although the water smell, it disipates quickly. And with each water change the smell is less, and the water becomes clearer.

You will have the smoothest smoke around!

    Good luck

Thanks for the update scorpion. I've had more than a few that i could not smoke. This one would be good for cannabutter. Your baked goods wont taste like weed.
