The Migro certainly does seem like a good light though truth is I'd have gone for a AC Infinity Iongrid if they were ever available. I have mostly AC Infinity kit and I think the quality of everything I have is oustanding. Just had a delay on the Migro delivery so need to wait a little longer to compare.

Yeh as I mentioned in my other thread, (and of relevance to this thread) the truth is the two Mars provide WAY more light than I need in a 2*4 for an auto. DLI on an 18/6 schedule means I ran it on about 60% for most of the grow just to keep the DLI at roughly the right levels. But I can't complain about the Mars. I'm aware there's better out there but for the price and the output they're a decent choice if you're on a budget. I only paid $260 for 2*TS1000 and you'd struggle to find much better for the price. I'm paying almost $210 for a single Migro. That said there's efficieny to consider and that draws it back into the middle of the pack. Thing is, people can often aford another few $$ spread out over a year when the initial cost is $50+ less.

Might be a different story on a photo as obviously thats on a 12/12 so more likely to be running near 100%. I'm still a grow or two away from trying a photo but I'm growing the Blue Dream you picked from the other thread now. It's your fault if it goes wrong, incidentally

Pretty badass little lights that grew some pretty badass plants. Shame you can't buy them fast enough. bet the oscillating fans will be the same way for a while yet.

And no way that Blue Dream fails you. It's in good hands.

    Cheers

    Ahh much jealousy!

That said, you saw my yield, I'm not complaining what I got out of my Mars...

Those ocillating fans are open for pre order but they wanted 2* the cost to ship it to me Was gutted as I need one to go with the Migro in the new tent

Going to need to come up with a plan B now.

    Cheers

My plan A is to not use oscillating fans.

After 5 grows in the cupboard, so far so good. If ever it becomes obvious that I do need to have internal air movement, plan B involves an AC Infinity S4 and flat ducting around the walls with lots of holes drilled in it.

Whooo I like that idea as the AC fans are whisper quiet on 1 or 2. I had the fan on the floor for that grow but it reduces the floor space (which is absolute premium). I do like the idea of a nice clip on fan off the floor thought. Something very relaxing watching the plants sway in the breeze...

Over the years, I've spent more than 5 times the price of an S4 on 6" oscillating fans. Got sick of continually having to replace them and also tripping over the wires. When I tried a cab grow without them, I noticed no difference so stopped using them. Those cabs did have airflow from the chimney effect, no top or bottom to them. As the heat escaped up top, cold air was drawn in from the bottom.

With the cupboard, I did without because I didn't have any working oscillating fans. Results were ok so kept it like that. Almost came unstuck with the grow before last. Low N nutes, lucas formula, so skinny branches and weaker still with no internal air movement. No scrog screen to hold them up. Had some very drunken colas. Towards the end, a few colas were upside down.

After doing some more research I decided I want a LED with a detachable driver to keep my Temps down. My TD-Silent 160/100 will be on lowest possible setting to stay whisper quiet as my growbox ( 50x50cm) will be in my bedroom. I've narrowed down to these:

Atreum Lightning Hydra-1000 100w = best specs out of all of them, currently unavailable due to supply shortage, but I can wait 1-2 months more

Mars hydro TS1000 150w = Probably an overkill for my small space, but can just run it on lower settings

Migro Aray 2 Pro 120w = looks very decent, but no 3rd party testing has been done yet, only his own videos in which he measures his own light at almost 50% lower distance than other lights so of course it came on top, but it's not a fair measurement...

Look into Budget, they have some nice 130W, I have two of them and I am very satisfied. Talk with rep, and be sure to ask for A discount.

This is what I have. I paid 179 each for my two.

They will all work great. The differences will likely have zero noticeable effect on your grow.

I would want to go with the bigger light you can dim which will run more efficiently and last longer.
