Sup guys, currently using a 600w hps switch from 400w to a 600w during flower
I’m actually wanting to get some sort of led or hlg as a replacement but last time I brought leds there where shit saying 1000w but being a hundred is this still the case ? What hlg would be equivalent to a 600w?
    Tent is 90x90x178 I think ? Ds90

I think the Hlg 300l rspec that I use is good for a 3x3, around 260/270 true watt, equivalent to a 600w Hps.

For your space a Spiderfarmer SE3000 (300w) would fit nicely!

    https://spiderfarmer.eu/products/se3...ed-grow-light/

And if you want to go for overkill and dim the light down thr SF4000 is an option to. (450w)

Many ebay/amazon/Chinese sites twist their info to look like the light is more then it is. Spider Farmer is a sponsor here on thctalk and I can tell you its a quality light!

The HLG 300L R-spec is the equivalent of a 600w HPS. Will flower a 3x3 feet footprint.

The HLG 350R is the equivalent of a 600w HPS. Will flower a 3x5 feet footprint.

The Bspec is just for veg.

    You’re using a 600W HPS in a 3’x3’ tent?

A 600w hps gives its best gpw in a 4'x4' space. 37.5w psf. Not the densest bud ever but acceptable if higher gpw is the target. Would probably need an led with a 400w draw to match that.

led can be dimmed so having more power than is needed only hurts on the day that the light is bought. I'm finding a huge advantage to keeping my leds way up high. Doesn't get in the way when I'm tending to the plants. A more uniform light spread and no need to even out the canopy if some plants are taller than others. Costs more in leccy but as the song says: All the money in the world spent on feeling good.

I have done a full grow with a plant under a Philips cmh vegging lamp, 4200K. She grew wide rather than tall. 12" tall at the finish and 12 sets of nodes. My HLG 100s Rspec are 4000K. My first go with them also gave short and wide plants until I halved the lighting. I've yet to see plants grown under a Bspec led, Who knows how short and wide those plants would be.
